<br />/ <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />Course Control: Those portions of "A Work in Progress" taking place in <br />the public right-of-way shall occur in a manner and shall be limited to that <br />area designed by the Chief of Police. <br /> <br />7. <br /> <br />Damage to Public Property: Permittee shall reimburse the City for the <br />costs on any damage to City owned property in the vicinity of the designated <br />route, caused by or arising out of the conducting of "A Work in Progress" <br />permitted hereunder, or the acts, omissions to act, of persons participating <br />in said event. All signs or other markings placed in or upon public property, <br />including the public right-of-way in connection with the "A Work in Progress <br />shall be removed immediately following said event. <br /> <br />8. <br /> <br />Compliance With Laws: Permittee shall comply with all appropriate and <br />applicable rules, regulations, and laws in connection with the conducting of <br />said event or any activities associated therewith. This permit shall be in <br />addition to all other permits, which are required for conducting the "A Work <br />in Progress" or any associated activity. <br /> <br />9. <br /> <br />Hold Harmless: Permittee shall assume the defense of and indemnify <br />and save harmless the City of Redwood City, its Council, officers, boards, <br />commissions, employees, volunteers, and agents from all suits, actions, <br />damages, or claims to which the City may be subjected of any kind of nature <br />whatsoever, resulting from or arising out of the performance or failure to <br />perform of Permittee hereunder, or otherwise arising from or arising out of <br />said race or any activities herein permitted. <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />City Services: <br /> <br />The City agrees to provide the following: <br /> <br />. Normal police patrol during the event. <br /> <br />. The police department will post the affected streets with "No Parking" <br />signs by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 18, 2000. The signs will <br />stated that parking will be prohibited on Saturday, October 21,2000, <br />from 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />Items Provided by Permittee: <br /> <br />. Adequate temporary restroom facilities. <br /> <br />. Removal and disposal of the "No Parking" signs by 9:00 p.m. on <br />Saturday, October 21, 2000 <br /> <br />Additional Matters: Additional or further matters not herein described or <br />contemplated in connection with "A Work in Progress" shall not be <br />effectuated without the prior written consent of the Chief of Police. <br /> <br />2 <br />
