<br />EXHIBIT "A" <br /> <br />PROJECT APPROACH <br /> <br />GROUND CONTROL <br /> <br />GEO CADD SURVEYS will coordinate with E.E. Woods Land SuNeyors the location <br />and size of ground control targets necessary for this project (See attached diagram). <br />Thirty ground control targets with 2 foot legs will be required. Additional control points <br />for the stereo models will be acquired with aerotriangulation techniques. We have <br />planned for the Horizontal Control to be the California State Plan Coordinate System, <br />N.A.D. 83. The Vertical Control shall be Redwood Shores Datum acceptable by FEMA. <br /> <br />AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY <br /> <br />GEO CADD SURVEYS will use Air Flight SeNice for aerial photography seNices. We <br />will utilize a WILD RC-20 camera using 9 inch aerial negative film and with a 6 inch <br />focal length. The WILD RC-20 is a currently calibrated eight fuducial image motion <br />compensation precision aerial mapping camera which meets or exceeds the U. S. <br />Geological SuNey's standards. <br /> <br />Photography shall also be taken when the ground is not obscured by haze, smoke, <br />clouds or cloud shadow. The aerial photography will be taken from a altitude of 1500 <br />feet above mean terrain in order to produce a photo scale of 1"=250'. This photo scale <br />should be sufficient to produce a one foot contour inteNal and meet National Map <br />Accuracy Standards. Four flight lines and twenty-four exposures are required to provide <br />photo coverage of the area. Forward overlap of photography shall average 60 percent <br />and side overlap shall average 30 percent. Please refer to flight line layout. <br /> <br />The contact prints, film diapositives, and rectified enlargements will be produced <br />according to the specifications and in accordance to professional practices within <br />the industry. <br /> <br />PHOTOGRAMMETRIC MAPPING <br /> <br />After verification of ground control, analytical aerotriangulation methods will be used to <br />obtain additional control points for the stereo models. A bundle block adjustment of all <br />flight lines will be computed. A final aerotriangulation output will show the residuals for <br />all control points. Once all the RMS of the control points are acceptable, we will <br />proceed with stereo digitizing. <br />GEO CADD SURVEYS will utilize an Intergraph Analytical Mapping instrument, WILD <br />digital mapping system and a AMSA analytical digital mapping system. The systems <br />have the capabilities to directly digitize from the photography into a digital map <br />database. Our digital data is collected and edited to obtain as small a file size as <br />possible while still providing an aesthetic end product. The final map scale will be <br />1 "=20' with a one foot contour inteNal. Map grid ticks will be placed every 5 inches or <br />200 feet and based on the California State Plane Coordinate System, N.A.D. 83. All <br />features and topographic information will be on their appropriate layers with proper <br />symbolization.
