I. II. PROPRIETARY AND CONFIDENTIAL EXIllBIT A SCOPE OF WORK - AMENDMENT #2 REDWOOD CITY LEVEE MAINTENANCE PROJECT REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES A. Environmental Reeulatorv Requirement: The project requires authorization by the Department of the Army (Corps). As part of the application process, a Section 7 consultation with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services is required. B. Tasks: Huffman & Associates, Inc. (H&A, Inc.) will review Corps permit documentation and assist client and client repres~ntatives with obtaining the necessary Corp permit authorization. As part of this process, H&A, Inc. will assist with Corps required Section 7 consultation with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. This effort is the second add-on to previous efforts which now involves additional telephone contacts and meetings with agency personnel to include one meeting at USFWS offices in Portland, Oregon; one meeting at the USFWS Regional office; two meetings with the Corps of Engineers; three client meetings and 3 hours of telephone discussions with client, client representatives and agency personnel. Further development of a written response to the USFWS Draft Biological Opinion shall also be necessary together with a written response to the Corps position of changing the City's overall project purpose. The purpose of these activities is to make the case that a non-jeopardy opinion via Section 7 process is appropriate given the type of project proposal and the level of mitigation proposed. ESTIMATED COMPLETION DATES AND COSTS H&A, Inc. will compile the necessary documentation and coordinate with appropriate parties to provide the services as close as possible to the estimated schedule and costs indicated below.
