It has been found that it is almost impossible to hire competent part time men to fill the part time positions. MSC by Commissioners Gold and Stout that a letter be sent to the City Manager asking him to give his consideration in having the Park Department cooperate with the Recreation De. partment in allowing one of their men to do the necessary maintaining of the pumps and backwashing of'the filters at the swimming pool. It was recommended that the prevailing rate of pay be allowed to the man employed to do this. Recreation Director Alfred Morton stated that the City Manager has cooperated thus far in allowing a man from the Sewer Disposal Plant to do this work and he is doing a fine job when he can be on the areal but due to the shift he ,...
