V. Implementation <br />This agreement will become effective on the date of Council Approval. <br />Upon approval, all employees (hired on or before the date of this letter) in the Consumer Services <br />Technician classification who possess Backflow Tester Certification will be classified as Water <br />Resources Technician. All other employees (hired on or before the date of this letter), who do not <br />possess certification, will remained classified as Consumer Services Technician. If a Consumer <br />Services Technician later obtains the Backflow Tester certification, he or she will be classified as <br />a Water Resources Technician at that time. Consumer Services Technicians who are reclassified <br />to Water Resources Technician may return to the Consumer Service Technician classification in <br />the event their certification is not renewed.
