<br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />(07/20/98) <br /> <br />AGREEMENT <br /> <br />Casa de Redwood-Better Living for Seniors <br /> <br />1 <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 76e day of <br />()('~ ,1998, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a municipal corporation of <br /> <br />the State of California ("City") and Casa de Redwood-Better Living for Seniors, a California nonprofit <br /> <br />organization ("Contractor"); <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Contractor provides low income elderly persons with housing facilities and services to <br /> <br />meet their physical, social, and psychological needs; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct the program for <br /> <br />residents of City during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1998, and ending June 30, 1999; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City has reviewed said request and desires to allocate to Contractor the sum of Five <br /> <br />Thousand and No/100 ($5,000); <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto do hereby agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City shall allocate to Contractor the sum of Five Thousand and <br /> <br />No/100 ($5,000) for exclusive use by Contractor during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1998, and <br /> <br />ending June 30, 1999, solely for the purposes described in paragraph 2. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />USE OF FUNDS. Contractor shall use the funds provided pursuant to paragraph 1 solely <br /> <br />for the Program purposes described in Exhibit "A" (Contract Objectives) attached hereto and by this <br /> <br />reference incorporated herein. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />CHANGES TO PROGRAM. No changes in the Program described in this agreement which <br /> <br />are funded by the financial assistance provided under paragraph 1 shall be made without the prior written <br /> <br />consent of City. <br />
