O R I G I N A L (8-15-92) <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N 0. 11896 12/14/92 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT WITH CENTER FOR INDEPENDENCE OF THE DISABLED, INC. <br /> WHEREAS, Center for the Independence of the Disabled, Inc. , has been <br /> established for the principal purpose of providing support services for <br /> the disabled geared to assist in their independence; and <br /> WHEREAS, Center for Independence of the Disabled, Inc., has <br /> requested financial assistance for use by it in conducting its <br /> activities during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1992 and ending <br /> June 30, 1993; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and <br /> desires to pay to Center for Independence of the Disabled, Inc. , the <br /> sum of EIGHT THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED SIXTY AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($8,160.00) ; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council for approval an <br /> agreement between the City of Redwood City and Center for Independence <br /> of the Disabled, Inc. , and it is the intention and desire of this <br /> Council to approve the same; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> That certain agreement (form dated 8/15/92), by and between <br /> the City of Redwood City and Center for Independence of the Disabled, <br /> Inc. , a copy of which agreement is on file in the Office of the City <br /> Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for full particulars <br /> thereof, is hereby approved, and the City Manager is hereby authorized <br /> and directed to execute the same for and on behalf of the City of <br /> Redwood City. <br />
