The project
construction was started in September 2005, and is scheduled to be completed sometime at the
end of the year. Since the discharge box culvert design was a fast track project without major
revision, and we have diligently worked to meet City's goal and schedule, and our
engineering contract budget has already covered the following extra works:

).- Property Title Report fee and review
" Existing storm drain easement staking
'r Project pre-construction meetings with Contractor
r Structural review and evaluation of the two trailers prior to relocation for box
culvert construction
)..> Shop drawings review
.,. Construction services and respond to Contractor and City inspection's
questions
" Periodic site visits

As of today, the Contractor is scheduling to pour concrete for the box culvert bottom slab. It
is very possible that the project construction will be completed by the end of the year. Our
engineering design budget has almost exhausted to cover the above listing of extra work. We
would like the City to amend the engineering design contract by allocating $10,000 to cover
the cost for the remaining of the construction phase including project construction support,
As-Built drawings, structural review after moving the trailers back to their original location,
and as-built drawings printing.

Once again, we would like to thank the City for the opportunity to complete the first phase of
the pump station construction, and we look forward to working with you on the remaining
phase of the pump station construction in the near future.

Very truly yours,
BKF ENGINEERS
255 Shoreline Drive -" I
Suite 200 ~/----J~~---- \ c ~ '
Redwood City /. ~ ~~
California 94065 Michael C.
