The offer of resignation was rejected. The secretary was instructed to write Miss Stiles a letter informing her the commission is looking forward to her rapid recovery and return to the commission UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Mr. Morton recommended that the pistol range be turned over to the police department, and that the archery range be retained at Hawes Park, but in a different position to eliminate hazards. Following a suggestion by the city manager that such, action be taken, the commission voted to turn over the pistol range to ChiefC. L. Collins of the police department, and that Mr. Morton alter the position of the archery range as he thought best. The secre tary was instructed to notify the police department of the action. Mr. Morton expressed the belief that the recreation center site should not be developed as it might be sold at any time as industrial property. Extensive discussion followed. MSC that a committee be appointed to meet with the Recreatio Fund Committee to discuss the matter. Chairman Millington appoint ed Mr. Hagan and Mr., Peterson to meet with RFC. City Manager Dimmitt'said the matter of the Stanford Boat , Club and installation of crew racing facilities at the yacht har- bor was being taken care of between him and Mr. Ted Cole ó£ Stan- ford University.
