The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bogie. <br />Absent, Commissioners Eva and Vanderborden. <br /> <br />" I <br /> <br /> <br />The minutes of the regular meeting of May 27th were <br />read and approved. <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS: None <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS:' None <br /> <br />PERSONAL APPEARANCES: <br /> <br />Maury Schwarz appeared and submitted plans for promoting <br />amateur boxing. He stated that he holds a state licence and <br />is merely interested in amateur boxing. Each boxer must be <br />passed upon by a doctor, be a member of the Amateur Athletic <br />Association and if is under 21 years of age must have the <br />signature of a parent. This would be another di version .for <br />the youth ~d would e~cate the public into an interest for <br />boxing. <br /> <br />MSC that the Recreation Commission rec~mmend to the City <br />Council that Mr. Schwarz be allowed a permit to sponsor <br />amateur boxing in Redwood City.
