The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bogie. <br />Mr. Bogie 1ntroducedMr. Ralph Case a new member of the <br />Connnission. Absent-City Manager Dimmitt and Supt. of Parks, Walsh. <br /> <br />The minutes of the regular meetingof December 30th. <br />were read and approved. <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS: None. <br /> <br />PERSO.NAL APPEARANCES: None I <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br /> <br />Director Morton reported that i t was not 'pos sible to <br />secure property ajolning Hawes Park at the present time. <br /> <br />MSC, that Commissioner Alberson be authoriz'ed to make <br />adjustments on land adjoining Hawes Park with City Council. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br /> <br />Director Morton reported~that the cement plant calls <br />when they sight pil~ng afloat at which time Mr. Morton <br />goes out and rescues it. <br /> <br />Director Morton said that it was possible to' get tanbark <br />and as soon as Chestnut Street is filled up it can be used <br />for playgrounds if it is þossible to get it hauled. <br /> <br />Ðonnnissioners'Alberson's repor't on the 1941 improvements <br />on the Yacht Harbor was read. <br /> <br />It was suggested that a check on as to amount, of <br />Recreation Fund be made. Also City Council Minutes regarding <br />the Legion Hall.
