AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> for <br /> <br /> SHOPPING CART RETRIEVAL SERVICES <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this __ day of ., 2002, <br />by and between DEMICHELE'S SHOPPING CART RETRIEVAL SERVICE <br />("Contractor"), and the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a municipal corporation of the State <br />of California ("City"); <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Article Vl ll (commencing with §14.115) <br />of Chapter 14 of the Code of the City of Redwood City (the "Ordinance"), City provides <br />for the abatement of abandoned shopping carts; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor is in the business of shopping cart and laundry cart <br />retrieval; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, owners of businesses in the City of Redwood City which use <br />shopping carts may elect to participate in City's Shopping Cart Retrieval. Program <br />(hereinafter defined); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Shopping Cart Retrieval Program requires shopping cart <br />retrieval services as provided by Contractor; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor hereby agrees to provide such retrieval services for and <br />on behalf of City for the benefit, and at the cost, of said owners, subject to the terms and <br />conditions hereof; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows: <br /> <br />F:Atty2001 SharedlRedwoodlCouncill Agmt/ Agmt-515 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
