<br />r' <br />r <br />, <br />i <br /> <br />.,~~ - ~. ~..~~-- <br /> <br />137 <br /> <br />REDWOOD CITY PARK AND RECREATION CO~,t.~ISSION <br /> <br />Regular ~eting, 1une 28th 1949 <br /> <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Jack Poole at 7:45 p.m. <br />present were: Chai~ Jack Poole, Commissioners Mrs. Anna Bennett Robb, <br />Clement Baume, Ralph Case, Andrew Spinas, Donald Bogie, and lilliam Henley. <br />Alfred Morton and Fenton Zenner at the Paddock Pool. <br /> <br />Mr. Bogie reported on the special meeting on the request for <br />funds for the completion of the Hoover School Recreation Building. The <br />Commission went to see the building where 20-30 men have donated their services <br />working. Made a re~est to the City Council for additional funds to be added <br />to this years recreation budget in order that the building may be completed. <br />Attending the meeting were: Mrs. 5.S. Mayo, Mrs. Anna Bennett Robb, Donald' <br />Bogie, lack Poole, Ralph Case, L.M. Duncan and Bud Hetner. <br /> <br />Mr. Zenner of the Paddock Pool made a report to the Co~ssion ~elative <br />to the newly constructed swimming poole ~t Livermore, California. He did <br />not recommend that a wading pool be attached to the swi~~ng pool. Stated <br />that the Livermore pool was 42' I ~2' 6" and would cost approximately <br />t 30,000.00 to t 33,000.00 to construct a pool of this type in Redwood City. <br />This pool is of gunite construction. lith the housing of utilities etc., <br />the cost would be doubled or approxinmtely $ 60,000.00. He estimated the <br />cost of the gunite pool at $ 10.00 per square toot as to $ 12.00 to $ 14.00 <br />for a vertical wall pool. <br /> <br />Nominating committee made their report for officers for the coming <br />year. me by Andrew Spinas and Mrs. Anna Bennett Robb that the following <br />be elected for the next year. <br />ehai~n, Ralph,Case <br />Vice ehai~, William Hanley <br />Secretary, Jack Poole <br /> <br />No further business the meeting was adjourned at 8:54 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />,~';":~~.~."o 0.- ...0" - - .-.- --'--,.,'-;-- ,..- ..------ ..--- '-~""'-:":-".."""~~~_.o_---.o<~.--~"""--- ~ ~~--~. ---~ <br />
