'--' t; <br /> <br />Schools'mailed to all Commissioner members. <br /> <br />JOHN HOWARE representing the Woodside Terrace Improvement Club and batting <br />for Jerry Verssen snoke on the tentative budget for 1953-~ for the <br />proposed r~addux Playground. He urged that the b11dget be strongly <br />ur~ed to the City Council and that steps shouldbe made for the fãncing <br />of the creek area surroundin~ this property. Chairman Stout stated' <br />that some $6,926.00 was rec~mended in the Park and Recreation budgets <br />for improvements of this area and theywere to be submitted to the City <br />Council. <br /> <br />.J' <br />CH,AIRN1AN STOUT requested that the vVestwood Terrace l)layground be put on the <br />a.ç;enda for tn.e next regular meetin~. <br /> <br />'MSC by Commi ssi. oners Ilanley and Gold that a letter be sent to t he Ci ty <br />MMager reque~ting an additional $ 2,000,00 be added to ilie ~ark <br />Department Cppi tal Outlay Budget for 19~3- 5~. for the purpose of the <br />initial develo:)ment of a .Picnic area at Stulsaf Park. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER GOLD reDorted th8.t some type of priori ty program be se t up for <br />the future development of Comm.uni ty Park in the nex\~ fiscal yea~r 1 s <br />~udget. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER HANL~Y reported that there seemed to b e a need for a fence <br />sepe.r8tin~ the #2 softball field at Hawes ?ark and the Playground at <br />this ~rea. He withdrew his suggestion when it was pointed out that <br />every effort is being made to stop the boys from playing hard baseball <br />at this area and thRt in the future this hazard should not exist. <br />
