<br />Community Engagement – Existing Conditions <br />As mentioned in the background section, community members provided extensive input <br />through a variety of outreach approaches. The largest source of input was from the <br />interactive web map (open from March through July 2017) and collected over 2000 data <br />points. Respondents were residents, employees, and students, people of all ages, and <br />men and women from all ethnic backgrounds. <br />Highlights from the survey include: <br />· More comments were received in higher density (e.g. Downtown, along El Camino <br />Real and Woodside Road) parts of the city than in lower-density residential <br />neighborhoods <br />· 65% of the respondents live in Redwood City, 30% work or go to school in Redwood <br />City, and 3% were visitors <br />· 7% of the respondents took the survey in Spanish <br />More details are included in Chapter 2 and Appendix C of the report. Community <br />feedback and collected data were used to develop a list of over 120 projects. <br /> <br />Proposed Transportation Program <br />The projects were grouped into seven categories according to their primary <br />characteristics. Project categories and individual projects are listed in more detail in <br />Chapter 4 of RWCmoves.
