Mr. Passanisi said that he was not aware of any other type of construction going
on.

Commissioner Paulson asked Mr. Passanisi what happens if the day care center
is not profitable enough and they wanted to make the site into a conference
center.

Mr. Passanisi said that the applicant will have to come back to the Planning
Commission to amend the Planned Development Permit and there will have to
be a public hearing.

Commissioner Radcliffe and Commissioner Seybert wanted to know where the
childcare center was originally planned to be built.

Open public headng

Steve Tsuruoka, Oracle Corporation, said that the childcare was designated for
the site where the Conference Center is currently built.

Chairman Garcia wanted to know if is the 6000 sq.ft, of office space is strictly to
run the day care or it is a part of Oracle daily operations.

John Black, Architect, said that the 6000 sq.ft, is specifically for the child care
center operation and includes a Director's office, Assistant Director office,
Conference room, staff reading room and work room.

Commissioner McCoy asked the Oracle representative why Oracle wants to now
use the open space nowto build a child care facility when it was shown on the
odginal plans in a different location.

Mr. Tsuruoka said that he was not involved with the project at that time, but he
said that they had to amend the Use Permit because the conference center is
somehow different than original proposed.

Mr. Tsuruoka said that he did not know what statements were made in regard to
the childcare center.

Commissioner Piulle asked the developer to show on the renderings the impact
from the power line on the day care center.

(At this time the developer showed Commissioner Piulle, but did not hear his
answer since he was not speaking on the microphone).

Commissioner Piulle asked about how many children were going to use the
childcare, and if there were any standards or limits for a child care center.

Mr. Black said that the number of children is primarily based on a ratio by the
State of California License Board.

Chairman Garcia asked about how many of Oracle employees lived in Redwood
city.
