Replacement not concrete repair. In the 18 years, my sidewalk has been patched once & the trcc trimmed maybe twice. The sidewalk patch looks lousy. It is ridiculous to tell homeowners they must pay half the cost for work done before the city's timetable and it may take 5-7 years for the repair. Not enough parking to accomodate current traffic and with the skate park coming we'll need more. Our Sunday attendance has been dropping due to lack of parking. We live close to an apartment building so there are lots of cars parked on our street. Sweeper usually comes around earl~, before 7:30 a.m. which means that no one has left for work, he cleans the middle of the street, and ~t may be months before gutters are ever cleaned. It would be so much more effective to have him come in the middle of the morning. street sweepers Alpio Barbara Idea Use the money to put up No Parking signs on certain days of the month so street sweepers can do a better job and clean the curbs and gutters. I get to work between 5:45-6 most mornings. Many times the street sweeper goes up one side and down the other without ever getting to the curb as cars are just parked there. This will help in removing any cars that have been parked for more than 72 hours and abandoned or stolen cars.
