<br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />AGREEMENT <br /> <br />Community Overcoming Relationship Abuse (CORA) <br />Emergency Shelter for Domestic Violence Survivors <br /> <br />.Ist-" ,,-~ì~, <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this - day of ~ _Wì <br />, 2005, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and <br />municipal corporation of the State of California ("City") and Community <br /> <br />Overcoming Relationship Abuse (CORA), a California nonprofit organization <br />("Contractor") (collectively the "Parties"). <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Contractor provides an emergency shelter, and support <br /> <br />services for women and children who are victims of domestic violence; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to <br />conduct the program described in the attached Exhibit B (Contract Objectives), <br /> <br />which is incorporated herein by this reference (the "Program"), for residents of <br />City during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2005, and ending June 30, 2006; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed Contractor's request; finds that <br />providing the financial assistance will benefit Redwood City and its citizens; and, <br /> <br />desires to allocate to Contractor the sum of Ten Thousand and no/100 Dollars <br /> <br />($10,000). <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City will allocate to Contractor the sum <br /> <br />of Ten Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($10,000) for exclusive use by Contractor <br />during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2005, and ending June 30, 2006, <br /> <br />solely for the purposes described in Paragraph 2. <br /> <br />CDBG/DJT.cje <br /> <br />7/19/2005 <br />
