<br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />AGREEMENT <br /> <br />San Mateo County Inteñaith Hospitality Network <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this ~ day of ~/) <br />, 2005, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and <br />municipal corporation of the State of California ("City") and Interfaith Hospitality <br /> <br />Network, a California nonprofit organization ("Contractor") (collectively the <br />"Parties"). <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Contractor provides an emergency shelter, transitional <br />housing and support services for homeless families and individuals; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to <br />conduct the program described in the attached Exhibit B (Contract Objectives), <br /> <br />which is incorporated herein by this reference (the "Program"), for residents of <br />City during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2005, and ending June 30, 2006; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed Contractor's request; finds that <br />providing the financial assistance will benefit Redwood City and its citizens; and, <br /> <br />desires to allocate to Contractor the sum of Ten Thousand and no/100 Dollars <br /> <br />($10,000). <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City will allocate to Contractor the sum <br /> <br />of Ten Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($10,000) for exclusive use by Contractor <br />during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2005, and ending June 30, 2006, <br /> <br />solely for the purposes described in Paragraph 2. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />USE OF FUNDS. Contractor will use the funds provided pursuant to <br /> <br />Paragraph 1 solely for the Program purposes described in Exhibits A (Budget) & <br />B. <br /> <br />CDBG/DJT.cje <br /> <br />8/30/2005 <br />
