<br />accommodations in employment programs and services to persons who are <br />disabled. <br /> <br />16. <br /> <br />INTEREST OF PUBLIC OFFICIALS. <br /> <br />No members, officers, or <br /> <br />employees or agents of the City, no member of the City Council and no other <br />public official who exercises any function or responsibility with respect to this <br /> <br />Agreement or Contractor's Program during his or her tenure, or for one year <br />thereafter, will have any interest, direct or indirect, in this contract or a related <br /> <br />subcontract, or the proceeds thereof. <br /> <br />Contractor will incorporate in all <br /> <br />subcontracts hereunder a provision prohibiting such interest. <br /> <br />17. LOBBYING PROHIBITING. Funds provided under this Agreement <br />will not be used by Contractor for publicity or propaganda purposes designed to <br /> <br />support or defeat legislation pending before federal, state, or local government. <br />18. RELIGIOUS ACTIVITY PROHIBITED. There will be no religious <br /> <br />worship, instruction, or proselytizing as part of, or in connection with, the <br />performance of this Agreement. <br /> <br />The following restrictions and limitations will apply to the services <br />rendered by Contractor in connection with the terms of this Agreement: <br /> <br />(i) <br /> <br />Contractor will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for <br />employment on the basis of religion and will not limit employment or <br /> <br />give preference in employment to persons on the basis of religion; <br />Contractor will not discriminate against any person applying for <br /> <br />(ii) <br /> <br />positions related to this Agreement on the basis of religion and will <br />not limit such positions or give preference to persons on the basis of <br /> <br />religion; <br />(iii) Contractor will provide no religious instruction or counseling, conduct <br /> <br />no religious worship or services, engage in no religious proselytizing, <br />and exert no other religious influence in the provision of the Program. <br /> <br />CDBG/DJT.cje <br /> <br />7 <br /> <br />7/19/2005 <br />
