<br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />AGREEMENT <br /> <br />Mental Health Association of San Mateo County <br /> <br />Spring Street Shelter <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this )~ day of ~ <br />2005, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal <br />corporation of the State of California ("City") and Mental Health Association of San <br /> <br />Mateo County, a California nonprofit organization ("Contractor") (collectively the <br />"Parties"). <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Contractor provides an emergency shelter for homeless mentally ill <br />adults; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct <br />the program described in the attached Exhibit B (Contract Objectives), which is <br /> <br />incorporated herein by this reference (the "Program"), for residents of City during the <br />fiscal year commencing July 1, 2005, and ending June 30, 2006; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed Contractor's request; finds that providing <br />the financial assistance will benefit Redwood City and its citizens; and, desires to <br /> <br />allocate to Contractor the sum of Ten Thousand and no/DO Dollars ($10,000). <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City will allocate to Contractor the sum of Ten <br /> <br />Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($10,000) for exclusive use by Contractor during the fiscal <br />year commencing July 1, 2005, and ending June 30, 2006, solely for the purposes <br /> <br />described in Paragraph 2. <br /> <br />CDBG/DJT.cje <br /> <br />7/19/2005 <br />
