<br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />AGREEMENT <br /> <br />Shelter Network <br />Redwood Family House <br /> <br />TH IS AG REEM E NT, made and enlered i nlo Ih is I ~ day of ~ <br />2005, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal <br />corporation of the State of California ("City") and Shelter Network, a California nonprofit <br /> <br />organization ("Contractor") (collectively the "Parties"). <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Contractor provides transitional housing and comprehensive support <br />services for homeless families; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct <br />the program described in the attached Exhibit B (Contract Objectives), which is <br /> <br />incorporated herein by this reference (the "Program"), for residents of City during the <br />fiscal year commencing July 1, 2005, and ending June 30, 2006; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed Contractor's request; finds that providing <br />the financial assistance will benefit Redwood City and its citizens; and, desires to <br /> <br />allocate to Contractor the sum of Eighty Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($80,000). <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City will allocate to Contractor the sum of Forty <br /> <br />Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($40,000) from Community Development Block Grant <br /> <br /> <br />(CDBG) funds and Forty Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($40,000) from its General Fund <br /> <br />for exclusive use by Contractor during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2005, and <br />ending June 30, 2006, solely for the purposes described in Paragraph 2. <br /> <br />CDBG/DJT.cje <br /> <br />7/19/2005 <br />
