7.1-Cl <br /> <br />IREPORT To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> From the Cit)/Mana~le~ <br /> <br />July 1,2002 <br /> <br />Subject <br /> Final Acceptance - Main Library Mobile Compact Shelving Project <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />Accept the improvements for the Main Library Mobile Compact Shelving Project, <br />completed by Yamada Enterprises of Huntington Beach, California, and authorize the <br />release of bonds. <br /> <br />Background <br />On January 14, 2002 City Council awarded the contract in the amount of $26,664.00 to <br />Yamada Enterprises of Huntington Beach for the Main Library Mobile Compact <br />Shelving Project. <br /> <br />This project created additional spaces in the "closed stack shelving area" of the Library <br />by eliminating the existing fixed metal shelving, and the wasted isle space between the <br />existing shelving.
