The meeting was called to order by Chairwoman Louise Tornell, at 8: 07 p.m. Roll Call, present were', Chairwoman-Louise Tornell¡ Commissioners William. Hanley, Cather'ine Brennan, Maurice Schutz and James Knecht. Noted absent were Irving Gold and Alyn Beals. ' Minutes of regular meeting September 18th arid special meeting October 9th were approved as mailed. Ole Olson from the Park Department in the absence of-Pasco Balzarini reported on Stulsaft Park. They are still working on phase #1 and that the landscaping at the branch library has been completed at Roosevelt School. ~ William. Hanley reported on Yacht Harbor- _A progressing slowly. Temporary work has been done on-road, scraped only. A new drain pipe for the temporary d rainange next to the Stanford" Boat house has been put in. < ¡ Loui se Tornell and Alfred Morton attended the Samll Craft Harbor, Committee meeting October 29th and stated -that little was said ;' on behalf of Redwood, City's interest. They did report that money 'for- planning of the Yacht Harbor, but not for the developing, could be obtained. William Hanley reported an Emergency Measure could be drawn up where money could be borrowed from the State. A lengthy discussion followed on this matter. Alyn Beals entered the meeting at 8:24 p.m. A. ~ \....t Alyn Beals report on tree planting - a si te seeing trip was made by City Manager E. Rolison, Assistant En~neer ~el Moen, Park Superintendent Pasco Balzarini and Alyn Beals, covering'the area" along El C'amino from Broadway north to the City limits. Mr. Beals read a letter from Mr. Booker, State Highway Engineer, addressed to Mr. Weymouth re the fact that when the Engineering Department sent in the map to the State- they neglected to enclôse an application. Therefor nothing was done by the State. Also stated in letter, upon application the State will proceed with the operation of putting in 66 Liquid Amber Trees.
