This movie was on a few of the activities <br />of the Department and it is a future plan of the Recreation in con- <br />junction with the Park Department to develop a complete series of the <br />. activities that take place in Redwood City area. . . <br /> <br />Roll call was called by Chairwoman Tornell: Commiss~oners present, <br />Catherine Brennan; Alyn Beals; Maurice Schutz; Irving Gold; James <br />Knecht, and Chairwoman: Louise Tornell. Noted absent, Williæm Hanley. <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />... <br /> <br />Moved, seconded and carried by' Commissioners Gold' and Beal's that <br />the miootes of the Nove~er 6 ~et1ng be appr~ed as mailed. <br /> <br />Jim Slobodian was introduced from the audience. His personel <br />çpeumce was in regard to the FairoaksLittle Lea~e which was to <br />be brought up later in the meeting. <br /> <br />":\ <br /> <br />ItemDl - Stulsaft Park. Commissioner Irving Gold made his report. <br />E. T. Hass bid was acaepted for water and sewer lines to the site of' <br />Co~rt Station No.1. Also the Park Department has completed the <br />planting of trees around the walls. Mr. Gold gave a financial <br />report of the O.rigina1 $101000 allocated for the development of <br />Stulsaft'Park a profit of ,8,000 has been made from Oddstad from <br />mining; Approximat e 1y $10, 000 has been spent. at thi s time and i t <br />le~es $8,000 or $9,000 forphase #2. He coocluded his report by <br />saying that everything is moving right along. . <br /> <br />Item #2 - Yacht Harbor. In the absence of Connnissioner Hanley it <br />was referred to Commissioner ~old. Due to the fact of Commissioner <br />Golds absence from the community so much of the time he referred to <br />Mr. Morton for a report of the Marine Harbor Committee meeting. <br />The Marine Harbor Committee recommended the nates'for mall tie' ups' <br />be raised to $1.00 st~t1~J~~y, ~58. Second reco~ndat1on <br />by the comittee was that tM H~bor Mdter be in control OftM <br />11: 00 0 IC 10 ck party curfew at the Yacht Harbor Building. Third <br />recommen'dation was t hat the t ravel speed for boats be 5 knots per <br />hour. Commissioner Gold moved that the acceptance of a ction and <br />recommendations of the Marine Harbor Committee be approved, 1 twas <br />seconded by Commi~sioner Brennan. Co~ssioner Gold made a separate <br />motion to accept the maximum speed limit of g lmots per þour. <br /> <br />I,tem #3 - Altamont and Piedmont. Commissioner Schutz and Mr. <br />Morton marle a report of" their findings of this area.
