<br />Item #3 -2nd and Bay Road. Commissioner Gold repOttt-ed ,his finglngs
<br />on this .matter.', It will take a great _&mount of legal action to-have
<br />this land rezoned for industrial...and to make a trade with a private
<br />individual. Commissioner Beals moved that action be taken to make
<br />this a Park and Recreation Area, seconded by Commissioner Schutz. A
<br />letter is to be submitted ,to the City~Council in efforts to make a
<br />trade wi'th'",the Land Development Company. Commissioner .Hanley ~voted NO.

<br />Commissioner Gold made a request that Item #4 - Condition of signs
<br />be put on the agenda next month with Morton making report. \.

<br />Letter regarding Union Oemetetty was held till now to be read in the
<br />presence or Commissionett Gold. City 'Attorney's letter dated Deoember
<br />4 gave a summary or all ~egal data regarding the Union Cemetery.

<br />Commissioner Knecht entered the meet"'1ng at 8: 47 pm.

<br />Commissioner Gold made a motion that the Park and Recreation Commis-
<br />sion proceed with ac~ion in making the Union Cemetery a Park and
<br />Recreation area. It was moved, seconded and carried with Commis-
<br />sioners Hanley, Gold and Knecht voti~g yes and Commissioners Beals
<br />and Schutz voting no. I
<br />
<br />Mr. Joseph Ferem and Mr. Day madè a personal appearance. They
<br />presented the commissionwith three plot plans of private recreation
<br />facil~ties in the area of Jefferson and Fa~ Hill Blvd. This would
<br />be additional recreational racili ties in the City of Redwood City'. '
<br />It would consist 01: four tennis courts, ,two swimming pools and club
<br />house. It would accomodate.a maximum of 500 families at no cost to
<br />the city. Mr. Ferem's-objective was to obtain a vote of coDridence
<br />from the ~ark and Recreation Commission. Commissioner Gold made a
<br />motion that t!1e Park and Recreation Cotm1liss10n go on record as .to
<br />having no objection to this fam11y recreation plan, seconded by
<br />Commissioner Hanley. '

<br />meeting is to be called at the next meeting of the Comrdssion to
