He was req-uesting that they be includ'ed ,in' the 'city <br />budget to cover ~iresfor their major md minor lea~e g~es. <br />They play 72 games during the year and it would cost $432.00' for these <br />games. <br /> <br />Personnal appearance by Robert Spillers, rgarding the maintenance of <br />school fields. It would cost $12,000 a year- less $2,500 that the <br />schO91 district would put'up. It would be an additional 4 men for the <br />Park Department.' . <br /> <br />Upon appropriate motion it was moved, seconded and carried .that the <br />Commission recommend the City M~ager to approve the request of the <br />Park Department to spray the poison oak in .Stulsaft Park at a cost <br />. of $625 for one year service. . . . <br /> <br />Commissioner Hanley reported progress slow at the Yacht l1arbor. It was moved, seconded <br />and carried that the new officers would be installed at the next meeting. <br /> <br />., II' <br /> <br />Commissioner Beals reported that the permit from the State has been <br />received for the removing of trees on EI.Camino. . <br /> <br />Pasco Balzarini reported that signs have been installed at Stafford' <br />Park regards to NO DAGS ALLOWED. <br /> <br />Upon appropriate motion Commissioner Hanley moved that the Recreation <br />Depart~nt be provided ~th ~ds in the 19S8-~ budget for qu~ified <br />umpires for the Little League where necessary. The motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Brenna. <br /> <br />Discussion of a golf course so~ewhere around the Crystal Springs <br />was donsidered. This matter was brought up by Co~ssioner,Beals <br />and it is ,to be brought up sometime in the futn.ee. . <br /> <br />. . <br /> <br />A letter is to be' written to the City Council on the subject of golf' <br />balls at ComITiuni ty Park, aski'ng that a sign be posted. The use of <br />golfballs at Community Park only be allowed when under supervision. <br /> <br />. Chairwoman Tornell read a letter from Herbert N. Allen,. First. <br />Congregational Church, regarding the use of Stulsaft Park from July <br />14 through July 21.
