<br /> <br />223 <br /> <br />Commissioner Hanley made a motion that a letter be written to the <br />City Manager recommending that bids be put out for the construction <br />of the Service Road (Parking Lot) in Stulsaft Park, Commissioner <br />Tornell seconded the motion. <br /> <br /> <br />At Red Morton's suggestion Commissioner Hanley made a motion that <br />a letter be written to~Ralph Shaw, San Mateo County, Park Department, <br />thanki-ng him for the sign his department made for the Kiwanis Field <br />on r1adi son Aven11e. The mot ion was se conded by Gommi ssioner Knecht. <br />It) <br /> <br />Item six on the agenda was brought up at this time. Commissioner <br />Tornell made a motion that a letter be written to the City Manager <br />recommending that the land from Farm 11ill °1 vd. into the pa. rk be <br />developed for recreational purposes and that 11r. Trifeletti and <br />Mr. Oddstad have offord to grade the road and provide the pipe for <br />the drainage ditch. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Knecht. <br /> <br />Yacht Harbor - Commissioner" Ha. nley reported that plans are now b etng <br />made for new berths at the Yacht Harbor and as soon as they are <br />ready they will be submittsd to the Council and from there will be <br />ready to put out to bid. <br /> <br />... <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />Fun After Fifty Building - Commissioner Tornell reported progress. <br />Signs - Commi:-:sioner Knecht had nothing to report. <br /> <br />Rose "Garden - Commissioner Brennan reported that a comrnittee <br />appointed by the City Manager met with the Penin.sula Rose Society. <br />The re Slllt sand olltcome of the meet1 ng was that everything is ready <br />to go. Commissioner Brennan made a recommendation favoring the land <br />in back of the Veterans !Vlemorial Building for a rose garden from <br />fence to Valota Road. <br /> <br />Pasco Balzarini stated that the Park Department was building a <br />float that would be entered in the 4th of July parade. <br /> <br />Also, Pasco Balzarini showed the Com~i3sion a sa~ple of the leaves <br />of the different trees in Stulsaft Park. This project w~s put <br />together by Miss Barbara King, 1303 Fernside Street, Redwood City. <br />Mr. Balzarini is going to display these samples at the park.
