~ /G-~
Amendment No.1 extends the term of the Agreement to June 30,2006, increases the not-
to-exceed agreement amount by $152,690 and continues the scope of services.

The total Agreement value, including the cost of all work performed to June 30, 2005 and
adding Amendment No.1, will increase to $210,690.00. During Fiscal Year 2005-2006
pumps located at seven Storm pump stations and two Water pump stations are scheduled
for routine preventive maintenance and service.

Alternative
City Council could direct staff to solicit individual price quotes on an as-needed basis or
direct staff to complete a competitive solicitation process for a year of services, as was
done almost one year ago. However, the former approach would place the City in a
vulnerable position should one of these pumps fail. The latter process would involve
issuing an invitation to submit proposals again. This can be done but would delay by 30-
60 days proceeding with the required pump maintenance and repair services.

Fiscal Impact
Funds for the servicing and repair of the utility pumps are contained in the approved
Public Works Services Department's Fiscal Year 2005-2006 operating budgets and
augmented by funds available in the Capital Improvements Program in the amount of
$323,118.

Peter Ingram
Director, Public

tV"rfL F~^-

Ed Everett
City Manager

Attachments
List of Work Performed
Amendment No.1 to Extend Agreement with Pump Repair Services
