IREPOR T ,o the Honorable Mayorand,C.,ityCouncil <br /> <br /> From the Cit7 Manager <br /> <br /> February 11,2002 <br /> <br /> Subject <br />Award Of Contract - City Attorney's Office Renovation Project <br />Engineering File No. 803-02 <br /> <br /> Recommendation <br /> Approve the award of contract for the construction of the City Attorney's Office <br /> Renovation Project to the lowest responsible bidder, Bridger Construction of Redwood <br /> City, California for the amount of $39,400. <br /> <br /> Background <br />At the time of the City Hall completion, the designated City Attorney's office space was <br />not finished, due to the fact that the City Attorney's office was off-site. It is now <br />necessary to complete the office space to accommodate the new "in-house" City <br />Attorney and his staff. <br /> <br /> On Wednesday, February 6, 2002, three bids were received by the City Engineer, and <br /> the following are the resulting bids: <br /> <br /> Rank Bidder Amount <br /> 1. Brid~ler Construction - Redwood City, CA $39,400.00 <br /> 2. A & A Construction - Los Gates, CA $45,901.00 <br /> 3.
