There are f'ifteen clubs participating <br />and the Rose Society is showing a tremendous amount of interest. <br />Also they are raising all ~heir own money. Pasco added a~ this time <br />that he was pro11d to b e working with Catherine Brennan on this show <br />and the effort she was putting into the project was heart lifting. <br /> <br />There was a discllssion on the Easter Cross ..by the commissioners. <br /> <br />M. S. C. that a~letter be written to the City Manager stating that the <br />commission feels they cannot recommend the site. It is their <br />recommendation that it be turned over to the Engineering Department <br />for more study. <br /> <br />Pasco Balzarini announced that the Park Department was given 26 mall <br />planters by the American Pipe and, Const. Co. He aslred if a <br />letter of thanks would be written from the commission to Mr. John <br />Miller, Sales Manager of' this company. . <br /> <br />M. S. C. that a letter be written to the City Manager reconnnending <br />that half the cost for putting in a aut ornat ic 'sprinkler system at <br />John Gill and Benjamin Franklin schools be appropriated f'rom the <br />capital outlay ftmd. T]he other half being paid by the sbhool which <br />will cover the material.. . <br /> <br />II <br /> <br />The commission agreed that a letter be written to the City Manager <br />thanking him for having ~lanning Director Dick Wilkinson attend <br />their m&eting. He was very help~ul in explaining diff~rent things <br />to the commission.
