<br />Regular meeting of the Park and Recreation Commission was called to
<br />order by Alyn Beals, Vice Chairman, at 8 p.m. in the Conference Room
<br />of the Veteran's ,Memorial Building..

<br />Following Commissioners were present - Alyn Beals, Jim Knecht, Maurice
<br />Bchuta, Louise Tarnell, Catherine Brennan.and Jim Slobodian. Staff
<br />members present - Red Morton, Pasco Balzarini, Don Dimitratos, wm.Shewry.

<br />PERSONAL APPEARANCE - Bud Hefner, Principal of Taft School, appeared
<br />before the Cammission regarding school district requests.

<br />Ou~side lavatory facilities at Goodwin, McKinley and Hoover Schools for
<br />use for outslqe organizations using the school grounds, also provide
<br />supervision for activities on school district grounds.

<br />The Commission feels that the above request is.in the interest of the
<br />public a~d reco~ends that the city and school board get together and
<br />iron out the maintenance of these facilities with the Park Department.
<br />
<br />CORRESPONDENCE - A card -from Irma Harder and family expressing their
<br />thanks of our sincere thoughtfulness.
<br />
<br />Minute Order No. 62-30 regarding Friendly Acres request the p~chase
<br />of Wicketts Annexation for recreational facilities. Request that Parks
<br />and Recreation Commission make a study of this area to ascertain what
<br />type of facilities necessary and desirable for the area. Alyn Beals
<br />appointed Jim Knecht chairman, Jim Slobodian, Red Morton, and Pasco
<br />Balzarini as the committee to look into this request.

<br />The Commission agreed that Jim Slobodian continue to represent this
<br />Commission to the Peninsula Parks and Recreation Council.

<br />Request the use of Yacht Harbor Club for dance. The Park and Recrea-
<br />tion Commission recommends that these requests go through the Yacht
<br />Harbor Committee.

<br />Races at Yacht Harbor - This also was recommended that this go through
<br />the Yacht Harbor Committee.
