The following commissioners were present: Alyn Beals, Catherine Brennan, James Knecht, Maurice Schutz and Louise Tornell. Noted absent: Robert Whitmore and Stan Sugarman. . The minutes of the August 7, 1963 meeting were corrected as per paragraph 8. 'Parking at the end of Myrtle Street, etc.- should be a separate paragraph. Minutes approved as amended. The following minute orders were read: 63-207 ~ Fleishman Park Improvements 63-208 - Myrtle Street Parking Area in Community Park 63-209 - Dickey Street perimeter parking and turnaround 63-210 - Center for Senior Citizens 63-211 - Beautification of Community Park' MSC James Knecht and Catherine Brennan that the tentative plot plan for the multi-purpose building be approved. Commissioner Knecht inquired as to the possibilities of a concession stand at the summer baseball games. It was Decommended that a letter of congratulations be sent to the Park Department employees for their efforts in winning eight prizes at the San Mateo Fiesta. It was recommended that a letter of . congratulations be sent to Alfred (Ole) Olson on his retirement as Park Leadingman.
