Brennan, Secretary Pro Tern ' PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION MINUTES Regular Meeting - September 4, 1963 The meeting of the Park and Recreation Commission was called to order by Chairman Alyn Beals. The following commissioners were present: Alyn Beals, -Catherine Brennan, James Knecht, Maurice Schutz and Louise Tornell. Noted absent: Robert Whitmore and Stan Sugarman. The minutes of the August 7,1963 meeting were corrected as per paragraph 8. SParking at the end of Myrtle Street, etc.- should be a separate paragraph. Minutes approved as amended. The following minuœ orders were read: 63-207 63-208 63-209 ~ Fleishman Park Improvements - Myrtle street Parking Area in Community Park - Dickey Street perimeter parking and turnaround - Center for Senior Citizens - Beautification of Community Park, 63-210 63-211 MSC James Knecht and Catherine Brennan that the tentative plot plan for the multi-purpose building be approved. Commissioner Knecht inquired as to the possibilities of a concession stand at the summer baseball games. It was Iecommended that a letter of congratulations be sent to the Park Department employees for their efforts in winning eight prizes at the San Mateo Fiesta. ! ¡ It was recommended that a letter of 'congratulations be sent to Alfred (Ole) Olson on his retirement as Park Leadingman.
