The commission expressed their sincere thanks <br />and appreciation ,for everything that Mr. Sugarman contributed to the <br /> <br />, , <br /> <br />Park and Recreation program 'while he was a member of,the commission. <br /> <br />¡ , <br />r, <br />t <br /> <br />,A report was given by Commissioner Doris Thompson on the Design and <br />Workshop of the California Council of Landscape Architects which she <br />attended in San Franciyco on October 23, 1964, at ~e ~te1 Hilton in <br />San Francisco. Her report from the material gathered at this meeting <br />was: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />A Master Plan is always subject to cþange. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Hold and save all of the park areas you can. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Keep all of -the areas for park and recreation. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />Every consideration should be given to new sub-sivisions. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />The Park and Recreation Commission should have a member sit <br />in on all future planning. <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />It is recommended that at least 10% of city property should <br />be in city parks. <br /> <br />,c,'; <br /> <br />7. <br /> <br />When planning for park sites eyery consideration should be ' <br />given for future maintenance. <br /> <br />.- .. <br /> <br />8. <br /> <br />Beware of overplanning and over development. <br /> <br />A report was given by the Park Superintendent that the Park Department <br />started landscaping Canyon Road and Breeze Place today. <br /> <br />A report was made by Commissioner A,lyn Bea'ls regarding the proposed ex..',,' <br />pans ion of the 4ger building at Community Park. <br /> <br />I <br />!
