No action was taken and it was recomm-
ended that the Committee study this problem and meet again before the
next meeting and present its recommendations to the Commission at
that time.

The Little League Agreement as recommended by the Committee to the
Commission was presented. ~. Sherwood objected to the wording
of the Agreement that used Easter vacation as a focal point be-
cause of the great variation of Easter from one year to the next.
Mr. Sherwood's objection was recognized by the Commission as a
valid objection, and it was suggested that this problem could be
worked out by the Baseball Committee that is to be appointed
according to the agreement. If this committee feels a change
should be made it can make this recommendation to the Park and
Recreation Department for use in the planning for the Little League
programs for the year 1965.

The meeting was moved to the area of the creek in Community Park: aerial
maps were reviewed and discussed. It was MSC that the Commission
maintain its present position that the creek through the Community
Park be straightened and covered as one of the major steps to be
completed before the planning for the maximum use of this Park can
be completed.

Meeting adjourned at 4:15 P.M.

Regular Meeting of Park & Recreation Commission
January 6,1965 8:00 P.M.
Veterans Memorial Building

The meeting was called to order by Chairman James Knecht at 8:00 P.M.

ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Commissioners James
Kneecht, A1yn Beals, Robert Whitmore, Doris Thompson, Louise Torne11,
Jack Stuart, Maurice Schutz, Recreation Director Alfred Morton,
Assistant Park Superintendent William Shewry, City Manager James
Neal and Clerk Sandra Kuhn.

Noted absent and excused: Pasco Balzarini, Park Superintendent
(Illness)
Commissioner Torne11 moved to approve the Minutes of the Regular meet-
ing of December 4, 1964, seconded by Commissioner Thompson & passed.

Commissioner Whitmore read correspondence from City Manager, suggesting
that the Commission consider recommending the hiring of a consultant
to work with department heads and commission in the preparation of
a master plan of parks and recreation areas for Redwood City, plus
