<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />given to re-paving of the walks in Wellesley-Cresent Park, because <br />this project was recommended by the Basualty Insurance Company. <br /> <br />Report on Redwood City Ramblers Football by Mr. Morton and Mr. <br />Balzarini: It was MSC that a letter be sent to the City Manager <br />stating that the commission is on record as recommending that per- <br />mission be granted on a one year free trial basis for the use of <br />Bechet field by the Redwood City Ramblers football team. <br /> <br />A progress report on the beautification of Veterans Boulevard was <br />given by Mr. Balzarini. Mr. Balzarini will have more to report at <br />July meeting. Whipple Avenue tree planting to be carried over to <br />July meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Morton reported that the Friendly Acres project was to be pre- <br />sented to the City Council next MOnday night for their approval. <br /> <br />Progress report wa~ given by Mr. Morton on obtaining a consultant <br />for the Park and Recreation Master Plan. To be carried over to <br />July meeting. <br /> <br />Approval of Rules and Regulations governing Park and Recreation <br />Commission carried over to the July meeting. <br /> <br />A progress report on the installation of playground equipment at <br />Stafford Park was given by Mr. Balzarini. <br /> <br />Comments from Park and Recreation Commissioners, and other inter- <br />ested parties: <br /> <br />Commissioner Sipes reported on proposed plans for the 4th of <br />,July weekend in Redwood City. <br />Commissioner Beals reported the commission now has a permanent <br />file located in the Park Department office. <br />Mr. Balzarini reported that the house at 911 Valota Road is <br />for sale. This house is surrounded by park property. It was MSC <br />that a letter be sent to the City Manager requesting that if it at <br />all possible this land be purchased for park and recreation use. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />Minutes of <br />Regular Meeting of Park & Recreation Commission <br />July 7, 1965 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Alyn Beals at 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />, ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Commissioners Alyn <br />Beals, Doris Thompson, James Knecht, Louise Tornell, Jasper <br />Sipes, Recreation Director Red Morton, Park Superintendent <br />Pasco Balzarini and Clerk Sandra Kuhn. <br />
