Proposal <br />for two more playgrounds in near future by Mr. Knecht. These <br />should go into the budget. <br /> <br />Park and Recreation Departments will submit plans for general <br />improvements to Chestnut Playground by Feb. 1st. <br /> <br />9. <br /> <br />Stulsafk Park Pla~~Q~n~~Eg~~~~~nt: Mr. Balzarini announced <br />that grading for playground at Stulsaft Park had been complet- <br />ed this morning in two work days. Time estimated had been for <br />four days. New_plans for each playground area will be sub- <br />mitted. Progress is very good on plans. <br /> <br />lO . .Fr ~ ~.~~J.X ASfeus~ ?l~r.o~d ~ui~e~n1t: <br /> <br />Mr. Balzarini announced that because a new location for the <br />playground had been suggested near Firehouse #3 that site pre- <br />paration had not been started. Commissioners were furnished <br />with copy ofa plan for re-location of the Tot Lot on Lot #1 <br />and including a 591 off-street parking area for eight cars <br />on the SE corner. Commissioners suggested parking area be <br />considered for the NE corner of Lot 1 and further that Lot 2 <br />also be retained for playground use. <br /> <br />On motion of Commissioner Knecht, seconded by Commissioner <br />Whitmore, and passed, it was voted that the Commission rec- <br />ommend to the City Manager that both Lots 1 and 2 be retain- <br />ed for the playground area. (12-8-65) <br /> <br />Mr. MOrton and Mr. Balzarini will meet with Fire Chief Lodi <br />for further discussion. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />COMMENTS FROM COMMISSIONERS, PARK SUPERINTENDENT AND <br />RECREATION DIRECTOR pertaining to old or new business: <br /> <br /> <br />q9~~§ßioner Tb9~son reported on Nov. 30th trip to San Mateo <br />with Mr. Balzarini to view the IISuper Securll comfort station <br />at Lakeshore Aquatic Park and meeting with San Mateo Park Supt., <br />Stanley Pitcher, and representatives from the Super Secur com- <br />fort stations. She furnished each Commissioner with a copy of <br />her report: advised that San Mateo had been extremely well sat- <br />isfied with their units; that units were not unattractive and <br />had stood up exceptionaly well during 2~ years of use: that <br />units cost approximately one-half of our other rest ~oom in- <br />stallations: would require less maintenance and upkeep; and <br /> <br />
