Mr. Osmundson gave ~ut copies of a report on IIRank of, Public <br />Recreation Activities by Number of Cities Reporting and Program Potent- <br />ial of a Neighborhood Recreation Park 11,- the report cover ingci ties <br /> <br />- . <br /> <br />throughout the United States, and urged that we not sell ourselves <br />short by short term plans. Mr. Osmundson said that he had had a part <br />in the design of the Mari,ne Wo:rld p~9ject planned for Redwood Shores. <br /> <br />, . , " . <br /> <br />Ch~~rman Beals announced that Mr. ~~~ans will submit plans from time to <br />time and ~hat various ci~izens committees w~ll assist him. His prelim- <br />inary plans to be a_vailable by June" 15' and f'inal plans by July 15th. <br /> <br />Chairman Beals called a ten minute recess before proceeding to Comm- <br />ission business. <br /> <br />, ' <br /> <br />On re-convening, Chairman Beals stated that city staff and city man- <br />ager is behind committees and survey. <br /> <br />City Manager Ullrich stated that he realized the urgency of the survey <br />ahd need of planning £or future: that land prices continually go up and <br />city should not wait too long to acquire needed property: that as far <br />as funding is concerned that keeping outlay t9 a minimum would keep <br />taxes down; that during last several months his office has reviewed <br />plans of corporations and organizations~ planning to settle in Redwood <br />
