Mr. <br />Knecht advised that City Manager had presented Staff recommendations <br />that work at this time be limited to thorough cleaning and minor re- <br />alignment 7 that gunniting of creek would not be a good idea and that <br />the estimated amounts of $97,000 for funding for gunniting of creek <br />be encumbered for other- type of improvements of the cree~ and addi- <br />tional funds sought for ultimate covering of creek, either from <br />remaining bond funds or review at next years budget time; and that <br />action taken at Council~meeting on a motion to "go on record as <br /> <br />'"' <br /> <br />looking with favor on cover ing - of creek and referred -to St-aff -- --fo~ <br />review during Budget meetings" had passed: that Councilman Peter- <br />son had suggested a pond as part of the proj~ct a~d Commission <br />thinking for covering of creek. Chairman Beals complimented Mrs. <br />Thompson for information prepared for Council re Community Park <br />creek covering and the importance of getting it out. <br /> <br />A letter of thanks was requested to be written to Mr. Ullrich and <br /> <br />- - <br /> <br />Staff for work done on their report. Chairman Beals urged Commiss- <br />ioners to be at Council meeting when sUbject is again discussed <br />or up for action. <br /> <br />~ - <br /> <br />CO~~S OF COMMISSIONERS. RECREATION DIRECTOR. PAR¡< SUPERINTENDENT - <br />ON OLD OR NEW BUSINESS: <br />l <br /> <br />Commissioner Stuart: Mr. Stuart asked Mr. Yoshida for a report on <br />what had happened to his (Mr. Stuart's) complaint to Police Depart- <br />ment re cutting of trees- on' Stulsaft-? ' Mr-. Yoshida såid that Police <br />Dept. had no record of complaint. It was suggested that a check <br />be made as to why the complaint was not logged. <br /> <br />- - <br /> <br />Commi¡ssijoner Knecht: Suggested a field trip with Park and Recreation <br />Departments to check on progress and projects. Chairman Beals sugg- <br />ested this be done at least once a year and requested Mr. Morton to <br /> <br />- - <br /> <br />set up a tour date and notify commissioners. <br /> <br />- - <br /> <br />Commissioner Th°11tJ'.son:._- Mrs. Thompson ,complimented Mr. Stuart for <br />. the fine attention he has given to the Multi-Purpose B~ilding pro- <br />ject and said that she felt the Committee has made a worthwhile <br />contribution of effort to the project: <br /> <br />~ - <br /> <br />- - <br /> <br />that she had been serving as representative to committee working <br />with Architect Bernard Nobler regarding furnishings specifications <br />for the new b9ilding and that recommendations would include: <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />
