Staff has selected Environmental Science Associates (ESA) of San Francisco to prepare <br /> the environmental document. The firm recently completed the environmental assessment <br /> for another large office/research complex in the Bay Area and has experience evaluating <br /> other projects in the peninsula, including large facilities and technical studies. This <br /> familiarity will allow the firm to prepare a thorough but timely document. As described in the <br /> attached project description, the cost of ESA's services to prepare the EIR shall not exceed <br /> $262,310 (the contract contains provisions for changes to scope of work and costs as <br /> deemed necessary). The City will add a 10% fee to administer the contract. <br /> <br /> Alternative <br /> Not approve the agreement, and therefore not proceed with the environmental review of <br /> the project. <br /> <br /> Fiscal Impact <br />There will be no fiscal impact to the City.
