Passed. <br /> <br />AGENDA 2 - HOOVER POOL - prqgress report: dedication ceremonies: <br />City Manager Ullrich said matter was on Council agenda for <br />acceptance at next MDnday~ls meeting, included is his recommenda- <br />tion that penalties of $1,100 be assessed the contractor for <br />lateness in completing project - 22 days at $50.00 per day. <br />Mr. Morton said pool would open next Wednesday. . <br />Commissioners encouraged Mr. Morton to keep Hoover pool <br />open as long as possible so that it could be used to advantaqe <br />at this late date. Mr. Morton said that staffing might bea <br />problem as his summer extra help was now gone. <br /> <br />Vice-chairman Stuart suggested dates of Sept. 23rd or 30th <br />for dedication ceremonies. Chairman Bob Whitmore will be ìn charge. <br /> <br />AGENDA 3 - ROSE GARDEN - Dor,is Thompson: Said Ass't City Manager <br />Burget had requested Park Dept. to provide estimate of cost, cop- <br />ies of which had been sent to commissioners - $5,100: that Mr. <br />Balzarini had indicated that estimate did not include gazebo or <br />labor, and that area would plant 400 roses. Mr. Balzarini pre- <br />sented the rose garden design as prepared by John Yoshida. It <br />was suggested, that when the bazebo is-to be considered that its <br />design correlate with the design of the Community Activities <br />Building. It was told that monies from the Fun After Fifty Mem- <br />orial Fund might be donated to help build the gazebo. The rose <br />garden is planned for area east of CAB and between tennis courts. <br /> <br />Mrs. Thompson noted that the $1,100 in donations for the rose <br />garden had been forwarded to the City Manager's office on Sept. <br />8th - $1,000 from the R.C.
