Mr. Williams noted <br />that the City of San Mateo has salesmanship in that whenever they <br />plant a tree a sign ,. is put on it noting that it was planted by . <br />the City. Mr. Balzarini said that we have a smal11abae1 on our <br />city planted trees giving this same information. Mrs. Thompson said that the Centennial Committee at one <br />time had asked the City to develop a complete signing prouect <br />for street, directional, sites, etc., all with attractive hard- <br />ware but no action had been forthcoming. <br /> <br />On MOTION of Doris Thompson, seconded by James Knecht, it was <br />voted to ask council to re-consider a project for re-design of <br />street signs, directional signs and site signs, etc., in City, <br />under a previously proposed cost estimate of $2,500. Passed. <br /> <br />RECREA,TION SUPERVISOR PAULSON invited commissioners to the CPRS <br /> <br />L I V <br /> <br />Group IV Barbecue and Commissioners Night, at Mt. View, on Sept. <br />21st - cost $2.50 per person. Wm. Penn, Mott Jr., Dir. of State <br />of Calif. Park and Recreation will be the speaker. Commission- <br />ers are entitled to re-imbursement for the affair, plus mileage. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER ULLRICH cordially invited Commissioners to attend <br />the 1st IITour of Progress" on Sept. 26th - a 2 hour tour of city <br />projects - including a box 1unch-l1:30-l:30.
