Passed. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br /> <br />Chairman Whitmore appointed Jim Knecht to represent the Commission <br />on'landscaping phases of the Redwood Shores project and towork with <br />Mr. Balzarini in conferences pertaining thereto. <br /> <br />PERSONAL APPEARANCES (A): Chairman Whitmore granted the request' <br />of Mr. wm. Royer and Mr. Drury McCarthy to appear regarding access <br />to McCarthy property as being- of emergency nature which r~quired <br />immediate action of the Commission, the ,property being in ,the <br />vicinity north of Vera Ave. and west of Dickey Street. <br /> <br />Mr. Royer and Mr. McCarthy presented, via maps, a request for <br />Commission approval of a 20. access easement from'Myrtle street, <br />east to the McCarthy property, the easement proposed being adja- <br />cent to private property on the east side of and at the' end of <br />the improved street ending of Myrtle Street. They advised that <br />they were not interested in access via a bridge a~ross Vera Ave. <br />8adwould not be averse to seeing that the unimproved portion of <br />Vera Ave. was abandoned for street purposes if the easement <br />)access was permitted. <br /> <br />On MOTION of .Commissioner Knecht, seconded by Commissioner Stuart, <br />it was voted to clarify our position regarding traffic flow through <br />park property as recorded in Commissìon'minutes of December 6, '67, <br />by recommending to the ~lanning Commis~ion and the City-Council <br />that a 20. access easement be approved as ~equested, said easement <br />access being away' from inside park property, and to further rec- <br />ommend that the un~improved portion of Vera Ave. through Community <br />Park be abando~ed and claimed by the City for park use.
