Stuart at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />ON ROLL CALL, the' following commissioners were noted present: <br />Chairman Stuart, Ann Gooding, James Knecht, Richard Mabie, Doris <br />Thompson, and Bob Whitmore. ABSENT: Artie Ree Morgan (illness) <br />Also present: Supt. of Parks, Pasco Balzarini; Director of Rec- <br />reation, Alfred Morton; 'Asst. Park Supt., John Yoshida; Joan John- <br />son, stenographer; Asst. City Manager, Henry Burget; William Rod- <br />gers and Bill Moore, Leslie Properties; Seaquoia High School stu- <br />dentsi.Bill Tawater, Sherry Warner, Ed Hilton, Bill Happ, Robert <br />Knapp, Mark King, Amy McGrath, Philip McLaughlin, Lyle Thompson; <br />and Lonnie Hartman, San Jose State. <br /> <br />MINUTES: Commissioner Knecht moved to approve the Minutes of the <br />meeting of November 6th, as mailed, seconded by Commissioner <br />Gooding, and passed, Commissioner Morgan being noted absent. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE: <br />1 - From Park Dept., new commission list as of Nov. 1968; <br />2 - Recreation Dept. report - November; <br />3 - cc of Council minute order dated 11/19/68 noting appoint- <br />ment of Richard Mabie to commission: <br />4 - From Asst. City Manager H. Burget under date of 12/4/68, <br />notice of Council Marina Committee meeting on Dec. 17, and <br />suggestion that new representative from commission be appointed <br />to this committee. (12/7 meeting at 7:45 a.m.) - <br />5 - Letter dated Nov. 12/68 containing nineteen high school <br />students signatures encouraging teenage member on commission; <br />6 - Under postmark of'll/18/68, notice 'of C.P.R.S. dinner <br />meeting on Dec. 5th at S.J. State College. <br />7 ~ Park Dept. report - November. <br /> <br />PERSONAL APPEARANCES: <br />1 - Mr. William Rodgers and Mr. Bill Moore, representing Les- <br />lie Properties; Mr. Rogers made similar presentation which had <br />been presented to City staff this afternoon and via "preliminary <br />Progress Print Schematic Layout - Steinberger Planning Area, 19 <br />Nov. 6811 which included; that plans will be put to P1~nning Comm~ <br />ission on Dec. 17th: that approx. 1300 dwelling units will be in- <br />cluded in this area-623 garden apt. units, 378 single family <br />dwellings, and 291 single family attached dwellings; that garden <br />apt. units would have island quality out in the water with plans <br />to utilize garage roof area for some types of recreation-that <br /> <br />
