<br />TRANSIENT OCCUPANCY TAX COMPLIANCE PROGRAM ADDENDUM <br /> <br />OBJECTIVES <br /> <br />MMC's Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) Compliance Program assists the City in realizing <br />all of the TOT revenue to which it is entitled and educates collectors and remitters of TOT to <br />ensure future compliance with the City's ordinances. MMC will work with the City to <br />develop a program customized from the Analysis and Compliance Service set forth in this <br />Addendum. City will provide MMC a signed Authorization to Proceed form attached hereto <br />as authorization for MMC to perform the work designated. The City may add additional <br />services to its customized program by providing MMC with a revised Authorization to <br />Proceed form. Regardless of any other provision of this addendum or the Agreement to <br />which it is attached, the Lodging Provider Audit Services described below shall only be <br />performed by MMC through a separate Agreement and signed authorization to proceed <br />form. <br /> <br />TOT COMPLIANCE PROGRAMS SERVICES & PROCEDURES <br />MMC's TOT Compliance Program consists of the following service options: <br /> <br />. Analysis & Compliance Review Service (Compliance Service) <br />. Lodging Provider Audit Service (Audit Service) <br /> <br />The Audit Service can only be performed after the completion of the Compliance Service. <br /> <br />The procedures for each of MMC's TOT Program Services are described below: <br /> <br />ANALYSIS & COMPLIANCE REVIEW SERVICE (Compliance Service): <br /> <br />0 Obtain from City lodging provider return information for the immediately prior <br />three year period; <br /> <br />Perform discovery services designed to identify and locate lodging providers <br />not properly registered with the City and not appearing on the City rolls as <br />TOT remitters; <br /> <br />Analyze lodging provider return information from the past three years in order <br />to identify unusual or suspicious reporting and/or activities that warrant further <br />review; <br /> <br />Provide a detailed report to the City identifying lodging providers who might <br />require additional investigation or review to determine their compliance with <br />the City's TOT ordinance; <br /> <br />Provide up to ten (10) hours of additional consulting time to assist the City in <br />evaluating or implementing any of the proposed actions suggested by the <br />above report.
