<br />EXHIBIT A <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />EL CENTRO DE LlBERTAD-THE FREEDOM CENTER <br />FISCAL YEAR 1998/99 <br /> <br />CONTRACT OBJECTIVES <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />The Freedom Center will provide a total of 72 sessions of the School Program in Redwood High <br />continuation School and the San Mateo County Community School on Convention Way (36 in <br />each site) for a total of 72-108 youths <br /> <br />90% of the participants will attend a minimum of 10 of the 12 sessions, qualifying for a Certificate <br />of Completion. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />The parents (or other involved family members) of 40% of the students will attend at least 2 of the <br />monthly family meetings scheduled at each school. <br /> <br />85% of the students completing the program will demonstrate increased awareness of: a) the <br />genetic and environmental cause of addiction; b) their own risk factors, and c) the community <br />resources that can help them overcome these problems. <br /> <br />4. <br />
