<br />EXHIBIT A <br /> <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />EL CENTRO DE LlBERTAD-THE FREEDOM CENTER <br />FISCAL YEAR 1999/00 <br /> <br />CONTRACT OBJECTIVES <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />The Freedom Center will provide 2 series of 36-session prevention program in Redwood City <br />Continuation School; and one 24-session program at the Courts Community School in Redwood <br />City. Total of 45-60 youths will be served. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />41-54 of the participants (90%) will earn a Certificate of Completion by attending a minimum of 16- <br />24 sessions. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />The parents (or other involved family members) of 6-12 students will attend at least one family <br />session offered by EI Centro. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />37-49 (90%) of the students receiving the Certificate of Completion will demonstrate increased <br />awareness of: a) the genetic and environmental causes of addition; b) their own risk factors; and <br />c) the community resources that can help them overcome these problems. <br />
