<br />OR'G'NAL <br /> <br />(07/20/98) <br /> <br />AGREEMENT <br /> <br />Healthy Start Family Center <br /> <br />-#I <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this (3tJ- day of <br />~ ,199B, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a municipal corporation at <br />the State of California ("City") and Healthy Start Family Center, a California nonprofit organization <br /> <br />("Contractor") ; <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Contractor provides low-income or "at-risk" families with support services and <br /> <br />encouraging the full use of existing agencies preventing duplication of services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct the program for <br /> <br />residents of City during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1998, and ending June 30, 1999; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City has reviewed said request and desires to allocate to Contractor the sum of <br /> <br />Twenty Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($20,000); <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto do hereby agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City shall allocate to Contractor the sum of Twenty Thousand <br /> <br />and No/100 Dollars ($20,000) for exclusive use by Contractor during the fiscal year commencing July 1, <br /> <br />1998, and ending June 30, 1999, solely for the purposes described in paragraph 2. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />USE OF FUNDS. Contractor shall use the funds provided pursuant to paragraph 1 solely <br /> <br />for the Program purposes described in Exhibit "A" (Contract Objectives) attached hereto and by this <br /> <br />reference incorporated herein. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />CHANGES TO PROGRAM. No changes in the Program described in this agreement which <br /> <br />are funded by the financial assistance provided under paragraph 1 shall be made without the prior written <br /> <br />consent of City. <br />
