DES:dik. 10/26/92 (029/29) <br /> O R I G I N A L 11/2/92 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N NO. 11876 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING <br /> ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR SELECTION AND DESIGNATION OF <br /> OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER <br /> WHEREAS, certain newspapers have been adjudicated as <br /> newspapers of general circulation in the City of Redwood City; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 90 of the Charter of the City <br /> of Redwood City, this Council shall advertise annually for the <br /> submission of sealed proposals or bids from all newspapers of <br /> general circulation in the City for publication of all ordinances <br /> and other legal notices and matters required to be published; and <br /> WHEREAS, the newspaper which submits the lowest responsible <br /> bid and is selected for the aforesaid purposes, shall be <br /> designated the City' s "Official Newspaper" ; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Clerk has submitted specifications for the <br /> selection of the Official Newspaper; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Those certain specifications for the Official Newspaper of <br /> the City of Redwood City set forth in that certain document <br /> entitled "Proposal for Official Newspaper of the City of Redwood <br /> City" , a copy of which is on file in the office of the City <br /> Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for the full <br /> particulars thereof, are hereby approved, and the City Clerk is <br /> hereby authorized and directed to advertise for sealed proposals <br /> or bids from all newspapers of general circulation in the City <br /> for selection as the City' s Official Newspaper. <br />
